1. About these terms

These terms apply to the website lehmijarvi.org and to participation in the activities of Lehmijärven Suojeluyhdistys ry (registration number / PRO 30360429), Turuntie 22, 13130 Hämeenlinna, Finland. By using this website you accept these terms.

2. Purpose of the website

The website provides information about the association, its conservation programs and its governance. It is informational and non-commercial. No goods or services are sold through this site.

3. Accuracy of information

We publish monitoring results and environmental information in good faith and to the best of our knowledge. Measurements describe conditions at a specific time and place, and should not be relied on as a substitute for official environmental assessments or professional advice.

4. Membership

Membership is open to private individuals and organisations that support the purpose of the association. The board approves applications, and the annual general meeting decides the membership fee. Members may resign at any time by notifying the board in writing; fees already paid are not refunded.

5. Participation in volunteer activities

Volunteer work takes place outdoors, often near or on water. Participants take part at their own responsibility, must follow the instructions of the activity leader, and should ensure their own suitable clothing, footwear and, where relevant, a life jacket.

Participants under 18 need the consent of a guardian, and children must be accompanied by an adult unless otherwise agreed in advance.

6. Acceptable use

You may not use this website to distribute unlawful, harmful or misleading content, to attempt unauthorised access to our systems, or to collect data about other users. We may restrict access if these terms are breached.

7. Intellectual property

The association's name, emblem, texts and monitoring materials are the property of Lehmijärven Suojeluyhdistys ry. You may quote and share our published material for non-commercial purposes with clear attribution. Photographs may be licensed from third parties and may not be reused separately.

8. Links to third-party services

This website links to and embeds third-party services, such as map services. We are not responsible for the content or practices of those services; their own terms and privacy policies apply.

9. Liability

The association is not liable for indirect damage arising from the use of this website or of information published on it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under mandatory Finnish law.

10. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by Finnish law, and disputes are handled by the District Court of Kanta-Häme unless mandatory consumer legislation provides otherwise.
